Swiss Design

The bus kiosk poster design attempts to condense the history of the International Typographic Style, also known as the Swiss Style which emerged in Russia, the Netherlands, and Germany in the 1920s and was further developed by designers in Switzerland, Europe in the 1950s. Swiss style wasn’t limited to only graphic design, some architects considered as a part of the movement. Some of the key characteristics were a heavy use of sans-serif typeface, grid and photographic elements. Cleanliness, readability and objectivity are the key words that describe the driving force behind Swiss Style.
